坐落于東北的集安市曾因破吉他樂隊成為全國著名的搖滾都市，也激發無數年輕人和兒童們的音樂熱情。只是二十年過去，搖滾逐漸沒落，連集安著名的標志大吉他都面臨拆除的命運。為了守護這里的搖滾靈魂，修車行小老板胡亮（喬杉飾）從北京請來前破吉他樂隊的經紀人程宮（董成鵬飾），希望對方幫他組建樂隊，策劃一場守衛大吉他的演出。在胡亮的軟磨硬泡下，程宮他們東拼西湊找來了美麗的女貝斯手丁建國（古力娜扎飾）、背對觀眾的鼓手炸藥（李鴻其飾）、年事已高的醫生吉他手老楊（韓童生飾）和未成年的小學生鍵盤手希希（曲雋希飾）。
