互聯網時代飛速發展，讓兩個身處不同城市、有著迥異生活的人建立了聯系。居住在東北山村的平凡女孩二英（唐藝兮飾）和北京高級白領斯蒂芬（文松飾）相聊甚歡，于是慢慢對大都會產生了憧憬。與之相對，她越來越看不上青梅竹馬的小伙朱大海（程野飾），于是想方設法要去北京追求幸福。在大海和好朋友陳有亮（宋曉峰飾）、菲哥（張笑菲飾）的幫助下，二英躲過了爸爸（劉小光飾）的圍追堵截，終于來到了憧憬已久的北京。然而進京之路并不順暢，他們一路險象環生，遭遇各種意外和磨難。
