本劇是星際旅行系列電視劇的最新一部,但故事的源頭卻很古老,故事開始于星際旅行歷代劇目之前,可以說是星際旅行的前傳。時間設定大約是地球公元2150年左右,距離人類科學家第一次發現曲速原理一百年后。人類經過近百年的艱辛努力,終于成功研制第一套可以穩定超光速飛行的曲速引擎,并為之建造了一艘人類歷史上最大的太空飛船,Enterprise!這艘飛船,是人類幾代努力的結晶,它象征著人類不斷進取,努力前進的精神!并將帶我們進入那"人類前所未至的宇宙洪荒"!!
